Born and raised in Mexico City. After elementary school he was sent to England to boarding school for 10 years. He returned to Mexico City to study Business Administration at the University Iberoamericana, receiving a distinction for his thesis.
After university he began his advertising life in New York City working for what was then the largest advertising agency in the USA, Foote, Cone & Belding on the JP Morgan, JP Morgan Private Bank and JP Morgan Fleming accounts. A couple of years later after a promotion to Account Manager he worked on the high profile retail account of Chase Manhattan Bank, in the middle of their greatest retail expansion that the bank had ever undertaken, overseeing several high budget photo and TV productions.
He was then approached to join J. Walter Thompson NY on their new global account for HSBC. As a senior manager on Team HSBC he was responsible for the brand expansion into the US market as well as being assigned to key global brand campaigns. His highlight was to manage the roll out of HSBC´s $500M advertising campaign “Your point of View” to over 172 countries; which included overseeing of the production of several global HSBC spots.
Was then transferred to JWT London where he served as Director for the Kimberley-Clark and Nestle accounts working on several brands across EMEA and USA. His highlight was being the lead director over Kimberley-Clark’s largest TV commercial production project ever, generating 13 spots in one month.
In 2010 with his love for production well defined he switched gears and was recruited as Head of Digital Content for BARE Films in London – a flourishing commercial production company. He quickly realized the market demand for non- traditional media content and established one of the first non-traditional media production teams, named BAREall. He managed 23 directors and any number of producers and worked on campaigns for the likes of Range Rover, Virgin, Sony and Tesco, winning a silver lion at Cannes for a Tesco’s viral.
In 2012 he was invited by Erik Zuckermann to move back to Mexico and become a founding partner of THE AGENCY, a full-service agency that offers a whole new concept in representation and consulting for clients across all areas of the entertainment industry.
